What has 3C meant to you and your family?
It has been great for us due to having the opportunity to support our champion with all his racing activities locally and nationally. It is also a friendly organization with professional and transparent leadership that is always working hard to provide opportunities for parents that are doing what they can, so their kids “champions” fulfill their dreams.
I have been with 3C for 1 year and 3 months – my very first volunteer event was January 2023.
My name is Alex Marin, I am originally from Colombia.
I met an amazing woman from Mexico here in the USA, and we have been happily married for 14 years and counting! We were blessed with 2 amazing kids, Mia (7) who loves dancing, cheering, and swimming and our oldest son, Yamir (12) who is actively involved in sports and music. He plays travel soccer and races BMX bikes basically every week, in his little time off, he is a drummer in school band and in our youth church’s band. Being able to fulfill my son’s dreams has always been our goal, we are thankful that 3C has given us the opportunity to financially support his dreams. 3C has so many volunteer opportunities to choose from and thanks to that we have been able to pay for my son’s BMX races locally and nationally. My family and I are so grateful for 3C, their leadership, the venues who provide opportunities and to all the parents “volunteers” that help fundraise scholarships for the kids.
My goal is to continue the scholarship fundraising for my little girl.

What has 3C meant to you and your family?
3C has meant so much to my family! I am a stay at home mom of 6 kids so my family has a very strict budget. 3C has allowed me to fully fund Abigail's competition cheer and dance this past year with no stress about how I was going to pay for it. This is her 3rd year of competition and she went from 1 solo and 2 groups her first year to 1 solo, 1 duet, and 3 groups her second year to 2 solos, 1 duet, 6 groups, and competition cheer this year! I love that she can grow at her own pace and participate in whatever she wants and she isn't limited by financial constraints. I have also made so many friends through 3C. I love going to comps and recognizing kids from other studios and being able to cheer them on and following everyone's journeys on social media .
I have been with 3C since summer 2022
I am 37 years old and have been married to my husband Chris since August 2006. Together we have 6 children, David, James, John, Daniel, Abigail, and Caleb. My husband works in Greensboro and I stay home with the kids and homeschool them. As a family we love spending time at Carowinds and checking out other amusement parks whenever we are able. My Champion is Abigail Ann. She is 7 years old and in 1st grade. She has been part of the competition team at Vision Dance and Cheer for 3 years and absolutely loves it! As the only girl with 5 brothers she loves spending time with her "dance sisters." She is a very passionate dancer, especially for a 7 year old, and she is constantly pushing herself to improve. She overcame a lot of fears this year and started competition cheer this year as a flyer. I am so proud of her for always being kind, working hard, and having a positive attitude.
